I love connection. I love celebration. I love the tears. I love the laughter. I love the brokenness. I love the healing. I love the process. I love the journey.
I want to be their biggest cheerleader. I want to be their sister. I want to be the one who is safe to share their deepest, darkest secrets with. I want to encourage them to come out of darkness and walk in the light. I want to challenge and push them out of their comfort zones into greatness. I want to show them they are powerful.
Many have asked why I am doing CGA and where it is leading me. Throughout my life, I have been blessed by so many powerful people pouring into me and helping me discover my identity. I have a dream of doing that for the next generation. I want to help them get to the place of owning who they are and what Papa created them to be.
I don’t know the specifics of what this looks like or even who “they” are. It could be leading a High-School summer trip, a college age trip, Squad-leading the World Race, or something I’ve never heard of. What I do know is I already love these people. I can’t wait to meet them and play a part in their journey.
I believe CGA is the next step in launching me into that season. CGA is going to help me discover who I am so that I can in turn help others discover who they are.
It will be hard. I will be broken and I will heal. I will cry and I will laugh. There will be connection and celebration. It’s the process. It’s the journey. I love it.
